But this rockin slab of &#8217;70s blues\/rock shows they can play a little when those guitars stop spinning. &#8220;Waitin for the Bus&#8221; starts off the set with a catchy, crunching riff and from there \u00a0there&#8217;s no let up (&#8220;Have mercy! I&#8217;ve been waiting for the bus all day!&#8221;) Fun, no-nonsense tracks with airtight production and<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 220px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Tres Hombres, ZZ Top\" src=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/en\/thumb\/d\/dd\/ZZ_Top_-_Tres_Hombres.jpg\/220px-ZZ_Top_-_Tres_Hombres.jpg\" width=\"220\" height=\"219\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">You win this round, ZZ Top. But we&#8217;ll see what happens when we get to your &#8217;80s albums&#8230;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>sharp interplay between the band,\u00a0I found myself digging this much more than I thought I would. Everything feels just right. &#8220;Jesus Just Left Chicago&#8221; and &#8220;La Grange&#8221; are enjoyable bluesy\u00a0jams that never meander.\u00a0This album makes me feel like I&#8217;m listening to these songs blast out of someone&#8217;s VW\u00a0Bus while in the parking lot, drinking cans of Olympia beer and getting turned down by whatever chicks are walking\/biking\/skating by. &#8220;That&#8217;s cool! Maybe check you out later!&#8221; I&#8217;d say as I play air guitar to &#8220;Beer Drinkers &amp; Hell Raisers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"yiv7783157964yui_3_7_2_30_1372878016843_52\"><strong>Starred Songs:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;Waitin&#8217; For the Bus,&#8221; &#8220;La Grange,&#8221;\u00a0&#8220;Jesus Just Left Chicago&#8221;<br \/>\n<strong>Sneaky Track: <\/strong>Really, the whole album, but I&#8217;ll go with &#8220;Move Me On Down the Line&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><strong>Trivia Everyone Knows:<\/strong> The drummer,\u00a0Frank Beard, was the only member without a long beard.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Should this album be on the list?<\/strong>\u00a0It&#8217;s pretty airtight, with no filler&#8230;so, yeah. It stays.
